Let us leverage our non-profit relationships and create a unique project for your team.

Computer Build

This is a technical service project that combines fast-paced challenges with the charitable donation of computers to a local school or non-profit! Participants will compete in a series of challenges and each round gets them one step closer to completing the computer by receiving the necessary parts. Our computer technicians are floating between teams and are available to help on a moment’s notice. Once all the challenges are over, teams will race to build their computer and package it up along with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

This exciting team-building activity incorporates all of the important characteristics of giving while at the same time promoting corporate bonding. Your group will be divided into teams and each team will compete in a series of can-related activities. The cans of food used throughout the program will be donated to a local food bank.

The Caring Square

This innovative and meaningful program, focused on improving engagement and promises to leave participants with a feeling of good will after attending your annual meeting. During this multifaceted social responsibility program, attendees are given the opportunity to work together and give back to the community through many different avenues, designing and building various items to be donated to the nonprofit organizations of your choice.

Examples of past projects include: building dollhouses for youth, painting meal trays for the elderly, and compiling care packages for military families or Veterans. Our team of professionals provides all of the necessary equipment, tools, and workstations to build and donate the items to local non-profits.

Master Mural Painting

In this fun and exciting artistic give back program, participants will create murals at a local school or non-profit. If you don’t fancy yourself a modern-day Picasso, not to worry! We have structured this program to actively engage all participants, regardless of their artistic abilities.

Operation Military Caring

This is an exciting community service project participants will work together and compete in challenges to put together care package items that will be donated to our military service men/women. Participants will leave the experience feeling a strong sense of connection to the local military community and their efforts will leave a lasting impact. While teams are competing to earn their care package component, they will also be working on a card(s) to accompany the care packages.

Surfboard Art

Bring your team together for an activity that requires a collaborative effort and lots of energy! The Surfboard Art Program is an exciting and active way for your group to engage with one another while at the same time giving back to the community. Your team will join forces on designing and painting surfboards that will be donated to a local non-profit surf clinic!

Time: 1 - 2 hours

Operation Green Thumb

There is a strong movement for community gardens and educational programming around healthy food choices in low-income areas. This service project will get your team outdoors and help to support healthy start initiatives. During the event, your team will work shoulder to shoulder to install a fully functional raised bed vegetable garden that will be available for surrounding families to use and grow their own seasonal food. Your team will help build wooden beds, install watering systems, move soil, and plant seeds.

Time: 1 - 2 hours

During this exciting, fast-paced project, teams compete in a series of challenges to earn parts for the bikes they are building. Each challenge gets them one step closer to completing the bike by receiving the necessary parts. Bikes are then donated to the selected non-profit, organization or school in need that supports healthy, active youth. Participants leave feeling a strong sense of admiration for their teammates and company.

Minute 2 Win It

Based on the popular TV Show "Minute to Win It," teams compete in a number of 1-minute challenges. Be prepared for plenty of laughter and fun as teams race against the clock and each other earning points to become the ultimate minute master!

Team Olympics

Just like the Olympics, your group is divided into "countries" (teams) and compete against each other in a series of challenges. The team with the most points at the end of the Team Olympics program stands proud with their "gold" medals.

Scavenger Hunt

Our Scavenger Hunt is an exciting and active way for your group to focus on problem solving and time management skills. Teams race to “Find The Answers” and earn extra points by taking pictures, completing trivia, and performing random acts of kindness.

Amazing Race

Just like on the television show “Amazing Race”, teams must decipher clues to reach their destination and successfully maneuver through a series of roadblocks and detours. In addition to finding the next challenge station, they will have a Passport booklet full of activities. Teams must use quick and effective communication and work together to determine the best person for each task so that they finish first!

In partnership with the Work Skills Center, Onyx is licensed to facilitate the Challenge of Change Resilience Training. This program is based on over 30 years of research, by Dr. Derek Rogers.
